How to pay your DStv and GOtv subscription online

Paying your DStv or GOtv subscription online takes under a minute — no queues, no agents, no leaving the house. Here's how to renew or change your package, what your IUC number is, and what to do if your decoder doesn't reconnect.

What you need

All you need is your IUC / smartcard number — the unique number that identifies your decoder:

• DStv: your smartcard number (also called the IUC number). Find it on a past invoice, on the DStv app, or by pressing the button on the front of the decoder. You can also dial a self-service code from your registered line.
• GOtv: your IUC number, printed on a sticker on the decoder, or shown on screen under Settings.

How to pay on Easy Recharge

1. Open Easy Recharge and tap Cable TV.
2. Choose DStv, GOtv or Startimes.
3. Enter your IUC / smartcard number — we'll show the account name so you can confirm it's the right decoder.

• GOtv Supa — most of the line-up.
• GOtv Supa Plus — the full GOtv offering, with a dedicated Premier League channel.

Tips and troubleshooting

• Renew on or before your due date. A subscription covers a 30-day cycle; paying on time avoids being disconnected.
• Same package renews automatically. Pay the amount for your current package and it simply renews; pick a different one to upgrade or downgrade.
• Decoder not reconnecting? Make sure the decoder is on and tuned, then leave it on for a few minutes — reconnection can take a little while. On DStv you can trigger a re-sync from the DStv app or by dialling the self-service code.
• Payment left your wallet but didn't reflect? You're covered — Easy Recharge automatically refunds failed transactions to your wallet, and a receipt is saved to your transaction history the moment the biller confirms.
